OUR HISTORY

WCUMC1

Angels’ Attic Upscale Resale is a ministry of White’s Chapel Methodist Church in Southlake, Texas. The Angels’ Attic story began in 2003 after ten women from White’s Chapel returned from a mission trip to Costa Rica determined to help the hurting and the hungry. In two years of garage sales, they were able to make an impact on several missions and fill an 18-foot warehouse with donations. After Hurricane Katrina in 2005, the women of White’s Chapel sponsored 19 families in 3 months and still had enough donated merchandise to fill two warehouses.

The dream of opening a retail store was fulfilled in May of 2006 in the Northwest Plaza Shopping Center in Grapevine. There  Angels’ Attic blossomed into a thriving, upscale resale store operated by volunteers that offered a wide selection of clothing, furniture, and housewares for shoppers looking for a bargain or a treasure while raising money to donate to local and world-wide charities.

In June of 2018, Angels’ Attic moved to a larger location in Grapevine Town Center. At the end of 2022, Angels’ Attic  was operating with 150 volunteers and had distributed well over two million dollars to numerous charities.

We have grown to our present size because of our generous donors, our loyal customers, and our dedicated volunteers. We stand on the shoulders of the volunteers who came before us with the dream of making this ministry a reality.

Together we make a difference.
